Gratitude is the Attitude!

I'm very grateful to the universe for the lessons in life, and the intelligence and heart to keep learning.

Again with another gorgeous day!!!

When life crowds around causing the thought, what the bleep!!! It is so nice to be able to find that quiet, peaceful place within, where everything is sweet!

It's always a choice, how we go through life! Cuz life throws the most bizarre things our way and yet, it doesn't have to destroy or even bend us, from who we are! Thoughts do become tangible and mine are doing a better job everyday of bringing me what I want. Plus, as my intro says, the journey is to be enjoyed as the destination may not exist!

What is that, you may ask, that gives me peace? It is to feel very good about who I am and to know I make a difference everyday in the lives of those I touch. Not perfect by any means, but definitely at peace and very, very, did I say very grateful to those in my life who care and for the nature to care back and for fabulous sunshine and yummy chocolate and the rare clove cigarette! And to hear the excitement in the voice of someone I call, finding out, it's me! And my list goes on and on and on!

Kindof

Kindof hard to know what to do sometimes! Being pulled in several directions at once! Claim I'd like a simple life and yet I include so many people in my life that is impossible! And the challenge is, I love them all! To be available to one I may miss another.

Kindof like the internal conflict of my 13 year-old son, Adam. He wants me to be a stay-at-home mom, BUT he doesn't want a step-dad! We just chatted about it and he knows it doesn't add up! Nor does he have a solution! Just a fantasy I guess.

Kindof like mine of having a dreamy, sweet man in my life who really will mean what he says when he says he loves me and wants to make my life incredible! Seems to truly be a fantasy as it does not materialize.

Kindof think I should assume that is the status quo and enjoy the journey! Might never be a destination after all!

Funniest Mom in America!

I did it! I entered the Nick at Night Funniest Mom in America competition at Wiseguys Comedy Club! What fun that was!!! And so many friends came! You guys Rock!!! The show was video taped for the Nick people to judge in the comfort of their Floridian jammies. They will contact those going to the next level of competition in Chicago, LA, Atlanta or NY. If I get the call, I'll be looking for donations for a flight, cuz it'll be on me! If I get chosen from there, they pick up the tab for a trip to NY. They will also come to SLC and video tape me with family and work and friends in my house, so I'll be looking for a house to borrow since I have no furniture!!! I also have to say that the other Mom's tonight were freakin' funny and one had 8 kids another one had 9, like me and another one had 13 kids. I'm a slacker!!! But thanks kids for the comedic material! I might be a contender!
